Wedding finale!

And finally … a wedding card for Zoe & Jonathan who got married on Saturday.

I had wanted to do a jumbo version of their wedding stationery but the stamped images I had used to decorate some of the little hearts were too small to work on the large hearts.

So this is how I ended up with 12 of the small hearts again but layered on a larger punched heart (both SU of course).

One last pricking outline and computer generated sentiment (font is 'Birmingham' for those interested).

The bride looked lovely and it was nice to see my table numbers in residence in the evening!

On to the next project and I might even do some quilling!!

Floral Wedding Present

So, tomorrow is 'the' Wedding.

I wanted to make a little something for a present and whilst at our SU day the other week decided the frame we were making would be perfect.

The bridesmaids are a light coral colour and the ink used to hint at this on the invitations (etc!) was SU crisp cantaloupe - the very ink we used on the beautiful frames we made, so …

… I have made another one!

It is exactly the same as mine but no-one is getting my frame!  Initially I didn't think the black frame would be good but I've decided to use the same frame as a nod to the black & white chalkboard table numbers.

Some more hearts to re-create the stationery design, one last piece of pricking (well, penultimate as you will see in the next post) and names & date added.

So thanks to Jenny for this great idea as it all ties in brilliantly and is a special present for the bride and groom to keep.

Phew!

And here they are - many long hours later!

50 Wedding Order of Service.

Using the same design used for the previous stationery with the 12 hearts on the front but spaced out a little more to fill the DL card.

Order of Service printed on computer and punched out and added with foam pads between the pricking (don't entirely recommend that for mass makes!) on the piece of cream card.

Because of the amount of words required on the inside I couldn't utilise the back page to put double sided sticky on and attach - that would be way to easy right?

Instead I have sewn the insert in with linen thread from SU.

This also ties in nicely with the 'tying the knot' save the dates we started with some time back.

I am very pleased with them - although I have a slightly sore finger from pushing the needle through all the card!

The wedding is on Saturday so nearly out of the woods now!

Just a card and present and to finish.

The last leg!

Regular viewers will of seen something similar to this before.

Done most of the prep now - a bit of pricking to do and then something of an assembly job.

Pop back soon for the finished articles!!

Men cards

It was our club night at Crafty Bunch tonight which has been 3 months in the making due to bad weather!!

I took some ideas for men cards (which will pop up another time) and the ladies were given the instructions for a mans shirt card.

I think they are really effective and something different.  These are the ones I made:

I used a few different colour ways - although all the blue ones look rather similar in this pic!

I've used some of my button stash and also stamped out a few buttons for a couple of the cards and covered them with glossy accents for a different look.

Table Numbers

Another project share today to go with the Wedding invites and favours I have done to date.

These table numbers stand about 45cm high and are going to stand in bottles (that I haven't seen yet).

The request started out as something of a chalkboard-type request and a few samples later this is what we agreed on!

The numbers and frame around them are from the last Stampin' Up! seasonal catalogue, a set called Morning Post Numbers.

These of course fit very nicely in the Deco Labels Framelits (now I appear to have a bigshot coming a few more framelits may be sneaking in!!).

I don't know how clearly the picture shows but I have used several of the framelits to create the double sided headers to the 'sticks'.

The number is stamped and heat embossed with white powder and  stamped again afterwards, slightly offset, just in white ink to make it look more like chalk.

After a bit of researching suitable sticks I ended up with green garden ones which I have painted black.

The framelits combos are then stuck back to back with the cane in the middle and finished with white & black organza ribbon tied in a bow.

Extravaganza Day

A post yesterday over at JillStampsUp about the great Stampin' Up! Extravaganza day we had on Saturday.

Another super day with great projects and sooo much inspiration.

Back tomorrow with some cards to share that have been keeping me busy.

Another Blog!

Crazy as it seems, even though I haven't quite got to grips with updating one blog this year - I now have two!!

Please visit JillStampsUp where I will be sharing cards and projects made using only Stampin' Up products and keeping you informed of any tempting offers and new products that may be available.

Apologies I haven't commented on as many blogs recently - I have been keeping a general eye on posts from my phone but haven't had the chance to comment on as many.
I have been busy with lots of commissions and shall endeavour to share a few more of these shortly.

Mr Blogger also gave me a bit of a play around with setting up a new blog so it is currently fairly basic (and without a stamped header which was the plan) but this can be amended over time.

Aptly enough it's Stampin' Up Extravaganza day tomorrow with Jenny so lots to report.

Dandelion sunset

A lovely day out at Farnborough on Friday for the 'Make It' show.  Lots of bits I 'needed' found their way home.  Not quite sure how we managed to spend all day there again!  Bumped into a few friends and familiar stallholders too and tea on the way home to make a full day of it.

Before I went I had seen a set of stamps that were actually on my list and it was lovely to see them being demonstrated too so I paid attention and thought I'd have a go before I forget what I saw.

The set was 'Dandelions at Dusk' from Card-Io and this is their card that I have re-created (roughly):

As much as I would love to play more at the moment I needed a card for my Aunt's birthday this week so this is where this card is heading.

The background is inked using 3 different versacolor ink pads - will have to try more dramatic oranges next!.  I have then used all of the 8 different stamps in the set in black over the top of the image.
Some hand drawn lines to finish round the edge and a trusty SU greeting and couple of punches to finish.
