Pink

A last post for a few days as out and about. This is another request for someone at work.

It is a lovely big A4 card with lots of different sizes and shapes of quilled flowers, including a few nice big fringed flowers.

Some peel offs explain everything else!
As I've just played 2 hours of badminton in this heat I think that's all the words I can muster!

Dexter Dog

Had been struggling to find a suitable idea for a card for someone (amazing isn't it, even when you have so much!!), until I found this chappy!

Dexter Dog is an image from DigiStamp Boutique - I can see how these digi stamps become addictive and I think I might be using this one a fair bit.

I coloured him with copics, cutting him out twice so the top one gives a 3D effect. I used a touch of fluffy stuff for the beer top and layered on a selection of card, using my EK Success paw punch to break the lines up - thanks to Michelle for sending me a birthday card which I blatantly stole for inspiration here!!

Peel off greeting on layers of matching card to finish.

Ruby Wedding

A requirement for a Ruby Wedding card today, usually I would quill a card but have done already for this couple so thought I'd adapt the wedding 'tag' card I recently did.

As before tags punched out in various reds to keep to the colour theme.

Initials added for a personal touch - not too much else to report on this!

Quilled Flowers

This card has been one of my most popular sellers.

I took 6 to the demo day I did yesterday that only had the flowers on so I could make the flower centers, leaves and fly - I sold 5 of them and didn't get to complete the 6th!

I also did the flowers in shades of pink on a lovely mottled pink card and the same for purple, can't remember where I got the original idea from.

The shapes are all basic shapes - teardrops for the petals, solid coils for centre and leaf shapes but these can sometimes be the most effective.

A peel off in the corner for a greeting.

Roses

Well, chaos still rules trying to sort stuff for tomorrows demo - mainly because my craft stuff is in a complete mess!!

Anyway, had to buy some of the Born to Shop range the other day and thought I'd run this embossing folder through the Cuttlebug to see how it came out.

Was then wondering what to do with it and had these roses to hand so 'populated' the bush.

The roses are quilled from 3mm paper with some little quilled leaves to finish off.

Added some papermania gems to the corner and experiment over!

Wedding

Another commission for a wedding.

This idea I stole from a magazine some time back (not sure if I've posted one before).

A friend was struggling to find a suitable card for a wedding so after giving her some ideas settled on this one.

Tags are punched. Decorated in many different ways - stamping, punching, wrapping with thread, layering with parchment tags, punched hearts which I have embossed with glitter powder.

Some of the tags have little bits of ribbon tied in the end, some have little gems for a bit of sparkle.

Names, date and venue added in teeny peel off letters for a finishing touch.

Wild Flowers

One of the cards I have made for his weekends demo.

It is on the front of the Search Press book 'Quilled Wild Flowers' by Janet Wilson. I have made a sample in the past which many people have tried to buy - they probably won't now I've made more of them!

The leaves are formed from eccentric coils, the flower centres are little fringed flowers and the flowers have small pieces of paper stuck to the back and fashioned into sepals.

The design was mounted on to a piece of cream card to match the main card, with a layer to match the flowers in between.

Following the dimensions used in the book the flowers are more fiddly than they look but very effective.

Christening

Still no time to get on top of things - never mind!

Somehow got this Christening card together.

Stamp is one of the Forever Friends range from DOCrafts. Punched out using oval punch, coloured with copics and layered in colours to suit.

Peel off greeting added to finish off.

Nothing!!

Sorry I haven't entirely got anything finished to post!

I have been frantically filling in any spare minutes quilling bits for my next demo, but generally they are still a pile of bits.

Was away all weekend watching Graeme cycling at the Masters National Track Champs (where he won 2 golds so good job I went) so no crafting at all - apart from a short interlude to 'The Range' down the road!

Next 2 weeks a bit manic but I will try and stick something together to show I haven't just been sat around!!

Birthday

A quick mans card for today's post.

The stamp is from one of the Papermania 'It's a Man's World' sets.

I stamped the image on white card, then again on some paper from the Man's World range so that I could cut out the chair.

Image coloured in copics, not too bad considering it wasn't smooth card!

Edges of image punched, layered on black then more of the paper.

Sentiment also from this range.
Job done!
